A former astrophysics major turned community architect, Kennedy understands firsthand what access to science, innovation, and mentorship can unlock. As a young Black girl in STEM, she saw how often talent was overlooked simply because of zip code or circumstance. She also saw what happens when that talent is given the right tools: it changes lives, families, and futures.
A physics graduate from the University of Arizona, Kennedy brings a strong background in science education, youth engagement, and community impact. She has worked closely with Dallas ISD schools, leading innovative programs that make STEAM learning accessible and exciting for students of all backgrounds. Under her leadership, BigHope will continue to expand its reach, deepen its partnerships, and inspire the next generation of creators, thinkers, and leaders.”
“I didn’t just study science. I experienced how it builds critical thinking, confidence, and courage. STEAM isn’t just about technology—it’s about transformation.”
At BigHope, Kennedy brings deep technical insight and a relentless commitment to educational equity. She leads the movement to build STEAM Labs in every South Dallas school—so that every student can see themselves as a scientist, inventor, or problem solver.
Under her leadership, BigHope isn’t just growing. It’s igniting.
