No teaching experience is required. We provide the resources and guidance you need to make a meaningful impact.

Mentor Opportunities

STEAM Mentor

Support students during coding, robotics, engineering, and technology activities.

Career Mentor

Share your career journey and help students explore future opportunities in business, technology, healthcare, engineering, education, skilled trades, and more.

Leadership Mentor

Help students develop confidence, communication skills, character, and leadership habits that will serve them throughout life.

Event Mentor

Volunteer during camps, workshops, school events, and community outreach programs.

Mentor Requirements

To become a BigHope mentor, you'll need to:

Complete the Mentor Interest Form

Tell us about yourself, your experience, and how you’d like to support BigHope students.

Pass a Background Check

All mentors complete a background check to help ensure a safe environment for every student.

Participate in a Brief Orientation

Meet with the BigHope team to learn about our programs, expectations, and approach to mentorship.

Create a Safe, Encouraging Environment

Help students feel supported, respected, and confident as they learn, grow, and explore new opportunities.

Uphold BigHope’s Mission and Code of Conduct

Represent BigHope’s values by leading with integrity, respect, responsibility, and a commitment to our youth.
